Roles and highlights.

  2023 — Present

  Software Engineer III

  • Shipped SSO with payroll partners (OIDC) so onboarding could plug straight into payroll; conversion jumped a lot for people who went through that path.
  • Dragged the stack from legacy Magento 1 to headless Magento 2 with a custom front — less sketchy, less glue code, faster to ship features for 200k+ users.
  • Planned a zero-downtime cutover when we moved millions of customer/order rows; analytics stayed sane and we didn’t light revenue on fire.
  • Ran interviews and resume screens so we weren’t winging it on bar or signal.
  • AWS infra in Terraform + Kubernetes; tuned autoscaling so peak traffic wasn’t a pager factory.
  • Reworked SKU ingestion with product + analytics — noticeably faster pipelines and merch could actually see what was happening.
  • Untangled queue-heavy order traffic (Kafka + RabbitMQ) so failures were less scary and recovery wasn’t a manual ritual.

  Software Engineer I

  • Grew import and credit-file pipelines so we weren’t the bottleneck as volume piled on.
  • Built async credit-score ingestion in Django (Redis, RabbitMQ, Celery) — millions of rows a day with fewer “hope it finished” moments.
  • Wired Slack into monitoring so pipeline fires got triaged instead of discovered by accident.
  • Touched React checkout flows — cleaner UX and room for real conversion experiments.

  • Moved ancient backend stuff onto Express on Azure so deploys and future changes weren’t a folklore exercise.
